Video Conferencing Room 5.F04

The video conferencing system in Room 5.F04 makes it possible to conduct video conferences with individuals and in groups. Automated cameras, a room intercom and presentation functions create a realistic conference situation.

Level of difficulty

Acoustic measures have been taken to optimize the room for video conferences. The system and its two monitors are permanently integrated into the room. The table microphone with integrated loud speakers and touch display make it possible to conduct Zoom meetings without a computer.

When two screens are connected, the video conference is displayed on one and the presentation separately on the other, which significantly improves the quality of the conference.

Automated facial recognition and 4K cameras with 5x zoom make it possible to show the person speaking as closely as possible to their counterpart .The camera movement can also be switched to manual operation.

Presentations can be given from up to four devices simultaneously via the Zoom app with and without video conferencing. The host decides which presentation should be shown. The in-room presentation is controlled via the touch display in the room. Therefore, it does not matter whether the presenting hardware is a computer, smartphone or tablet.

Quotes

The video conferencing system enabled us to hold a discussion-based course quite easily.

Ruedi Widmer

The large screen and the motion-controlled camera enable interactive exchange in real time. In this way, we can rethink the need for long-distance flights and reduce our carbon footprint in the process. A large room with windows would make longer conferences more comfortable.

Team E-Learning

My experiences with the Zoom video conferencing software have been excellent. Participants dialled in via smartphone, laptop and conference equipment, and there were no issues.
